ENTER INTO THE STORY AND FIND THE STORY INSIDE YOURSELF
A four part online programme (Zoom) held over 8 weeks
Wednesday 8th September, Wednesday 22nd September, Wednesday 6th October, Wednesday 20th October
Cost £29 total for all four sessions
I will be blending well known fairy stories with coaching techniques to bring about real insight, growth and increased self awareness to enable the soul to evolve.
This programme weaves together the narrative of your own life with that of four well known fairy tales, whose themes, symbols and ideas will trigger your unconscious imagination in a unique way, revealing aspects of yourself that you may not yet be conscious of, allowing you to address, challenge and heal them if needed.
UNTIL YOU MAKE THE UNCONSCIOUS CONSCIOUS, IT WILL DIRECT YOUR LIFE AND YOU WILL CALL IT FATE - Carl Jung
Fairy stories are rich in underlying themes such as identity, patriarchy, abandonment, greed, home, love, privation, relationship with parents, losing ones way, self worth, authenticity, boundaries, facing the shadow. The list is endless and you will each have your own very unique response to each story.
Starting with Hansel and Gretel, with its themes of abandonment, fear, privation, greed, losing one's way, the Crone, home, familial relationships, we will reflect on what we see mirrored in our own life.
Each story will be sent to you prior to the session allowing you to read, journal, meditate and reflect. Every session will start with a talk from me where I will deconstruct the story and then we will have the opportunity to discuss its impact on us, and what resonated in our own lives.
After each class, you will get homework and journaling questions and meditations ready for next time. These prompts will enable you to dive deep into your unconscious to bring your own life themes out into the open, ready to be explored and alchemised.
Each session will be 90 minutes long and will be held on Zoom. The class is limited to 7 people to foster intimacy and connection.
This programme can also be taken as a one on one coaching course with me either face to face (nr Horsham, West Sussex) or on Zoom. Please contact me for cost and more details.
Traditionally, the role of fairy tales has been to articulate difficult life concepts in a more explicit way. Primal fears, subconscious desires and social taboos are all at the heart of the fairytale, and the majority of these tales take us on a journey of defeating monsters, life transformation and being saved, often by love.
Have you ever read a story and recognised themes from your own life? Have you seen different parts of yourself mirrored in the various roles played out in a story? Have you felt uncomfortable as you identify aspects of yourself in the villain, or perhaps felt uplifted by your own similarities to the character of the hero or heroine? Perhaps one of the supporting characters reminds you of yourself or somebody else in your life. Maybe there are parallels in the journey that a character takes or similarities in your own life to the situations they find themselves in?
We have all been wicked and we have all been self-sacrificing. We have all entered the dark woods, followed the breadcrumbs, looked for the prince, sought the riches, fought the beast, slumbered for many years,
been imprisoned in the tower, felt the magic, undergone a transformation, hidden our true self, looked in the mirror and disliked what we see, been deceived by the wolf, lost our way, hidden our light so as not to be mistreated.
All of our life experiences are raw material waiting to be alchemised, turned into pure gold, to weave together the story of our life, in order to help us grow and evolve.
